Russ T. Nutz, Jakeb Reel, My Name is Ned
Friday January 17th
The Rev. Russ T. Nutz and his wild bunch of heathen friends take over Eda's for an intimate evening of cowpunk, classic country and raunchy tonk music!
Show start 8pm. $10 cover charge at door. 21+
Russ T. Nutz
Bio: North Carolina native Russ T. Nutz has toiled in the dregs of the underground country music scene for over a decade. In 2008 he released his first album 'Banned In Forty States,' as the frontman of Blue Jeans and Khaki Pants. He spent 7 years touring America's dive bars alongside his cohorts in The Punknecks; all the while printing hundreds of thousands of T-Shirts and engineering countless recordings for many country, rock and funk acts like Town Mountain, Pfunk and The Big Ol' Nasty Getdown.. In 2015, he self-released a solo album, 'Trail Of Beers.'
It’s hard to tell where the joke ends and reality begins with Russ T. Nutz; it’s equally difficult to know whether to laugh or be appalled by his on-stage banter. His material has a tendency to stir controversy; though one could argue that tracks like “Black, White or Gay” actually contain a backhanded message of tolerance, albeit hidden within the inflammatory rhetoric and satirical context. It’s murky water, no doubt, but Russ T. Nutz has been drinking it his entire life. His stage act has a tendency for pushing things just far enough; maybe he just doesn’t give a damn.
This is Rev. Russ T. Nutz Jr., M.D, Unlicensed Professional and professional dog track enthusiast and skee-ball champion of 1994
Jakeb Reel
Bio: Jakeb Reel was born and raised in the backwoods of Old Fort, NC and was steeped in a rich legacy of country, bluegrass, southern gospel and rock n roll traditions. From his early teens, he haunted many of the long shuttered DIY honky tonks and bluegrass jamborees held in the small towns surrounding Mt. Mitchell and the Pisgah National Forest.
My Name is Ned
Bio: Sequestered in the wet hills of Western North Carolina harbored a man named ned, who has been cultivating a classic style of music only to be yearned for by the loneliest of hearts. Live, laugh, love for punks would be an understatement when you blast this in your 89 Iroc Camaro while you're spewing an unsightly oil stain on your in-laws freshly paved driveway. Crack open a tall boy and get ready to roll that coal outside the Applebee's on Main St. baby. My Name Is Ned

Tanner Burch
Saturday February 8th
Show start 8pm. $10 cover charge at the door.
Bio: Tanner Burch’s journey to country music stardom is one of resilience and reinvention. An All-American Middle Linebacker at Gardner Webb, Tanner dreamed of playing professionally until a knee injury derailed his CFL tryout. After college, he pursued various careers, including medical sales, bartending, gym management, and even working as a carpenter and hibachi chef, but nothing truly stuck. It wasn’t until his grandmother’s passing, when he inherited her 1985 Ibanez guitar, that he found his true calling—learning to play and write music.
In June 2021, the tragic loss of his brother propelled Tanner to sell his belongings and hit the road. He lived out of his 2006 Toyota Tundra, playing small towns and dive bars across the country. His music, shaped by heartache, love, and the struggles of life, began to resonate with audiences. In 2023, Tanner recorded his debut EP Rugged Soul in the backcountry of South Pittsburgh, TN, while getting sober—a project that propelled him to Nashville, where his career began to take off.
Now a staple in Nashville’s honky-tonk scene, Tanner regularly performs at legendary venues like Layla’s Honkytonk and has been featured in top country showcases such as Honky Tonk Tuesday and Whiskey Jam. He has shared the stage with artists like Hannah Dasher, Them Dirty Roses, and Jesse Daniel, and played iconic spots like the Broken Spoke in Texas. Tanner is currently working on a new 8-song EP that blends classic outlaw country with a modern touch, solidifying his place in the Nashville music scene.

This place is a treasure!! The staff are sweet, funny, smart and good looking and the spirits are absolutely sublime. They have real Florida style shuffleboard, ping-pong, pool and live music some nights. A great time out for those looking for something more than the breweries offer.
